Mercure Caen Centre Port De Plaisance

The location is great - we use it as a stopover on our way back to the UK from Caen and have done so for the last couple of years. The staff are always super helpful and ready to accommodate your needs - giving helpful advice on where to eat, parking, places to see etc. It is our go-to in Caen and, if you want to see more of the region - D-Day beaches, etc - this is a great place to base yourself

Very comfortable beds, clean good quality furnishings. A step up to the shower but was OK. The fridge in the room was a big plus. Breakfast was lovely but expensive at €20 each. Secure parking on site €12 a day, which was very handy and a reasonable price. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and did everything to help you feel at home. We would definitely stay here again.

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly and helped when asked, but otherwise didn't interfere unnecessarily, which is good. Our dog felt at home too.

We arrived around 1.30pm on a very HOT day. Good, COOL, easy to find pre-booked parking. Check in from Mid-day so no hanging around. Lift from car park straight up to reception and hence to our room. All beautifully air-conditioned. No hair dryer in our room but a short call to reception and this was rectified in less than 5 minutes. Excellent shower. Good variety of food and drinks on offer for breakfast. fresh and well presented. Lots of lovely restaurants close by in the old quarter for dinner.
